Program Expectations
At Lifehouse Maternity Home, we consider our program to be a team effort. As a team, cooperation from both Lifehouse staff and participants will lead to transformation for mom and baby, changing a family’s legacy. We want each participant to know what to expect from Lifehouse and what Lifehouse expects from each participant on this transformative journey:
What to expect from Lifehouse Maternity Home:
- Compassionate Care: Lifehouse staff will provide loving
and compassionate care, reflecting Christian values and
respect for each participant. - Professional Support: Participants receive professional
support in areas such as prenatal care, parenting education,
and life skills training. - Spiritual Guidance: Participants will have prayer support,
and opportunities for spiritual growth through Bible studies
devotionals and Christian church services. - Confidentiality: Assurance of confidentiality in personal
matters, respecting the privacy and dignity of each
participant. - Safe Environment: A safe and secure living environment,
for all participants. - Non-Judgmental Attitude: Support for each participant
regardless of their past or current circumstances. - Crisis Intervention: Provide assistance and intervention in
times of crisis or emergency, offering emotional and practical
support. - Resource Access: Help in accessing community resources
such as medical care, social services, educational
opportunities, and employment assistance. - Encouragement and Empowerment: Encouragement and
empowerment to help participants achieve their personal
goals and make positive life changes. - Healthy Role Modeling: Lifehouse staff will serve as
positive role models, demonstrating healthy relationships,
effective communication, and Christian living. - Adherence to House Guidelines: Participants are
expected to follow the house rules, including curfews, visiting
hours, and guidelines on conduct. - Participation in Programs: Attend and participate in all
scheduled programs and lessons, such as BrightCourse,
parenting workshops, and Bible studies. - Respect for Others: Show respect and consideration for
fellow participants, staff, and visitors. This includes
maintaining a peaceful, clean, and supportive environment. - Engagement in Faith Activities: Take part in Bible study,
church services, and devotional times. - Commitment to Personal Growth: Demonstrate a
willingness to work on personal development, including
setting and working towards personal goals. - Household Responsibilities: Participate in shared
household chores and maintain clean and tidy personal
living spaces. - Regular Medical Appointments: Attend all prenatal and
medical appointments as scheduled to ensure the health and
well-being of both mother and baby. - Sobriety: Maintain a lifestyle free from alcohol, drugs, and
any other harmful substances. - Open Communication: Engage in honest and open
communication with Lifehouse staff and peers, addressing
conflicts and concerns constructively. - Positive Attitude: Foster a positive and hopeful attitude,
contributing to an atmosphere of encouragement and mutual
support.
