The “old” — fear, instability, and despair — feels crushing. But we believe, with all our hearts, that a Bright Beginning is not only possible… it is what God delights in creating.
 
For the scared mom searching for an answer to her crisis, Lifehouse is here to offer her a way to step away from her past into a new life of safety, healing, stability, restored hope, and a way to change her family for generations to come.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today holding tightly to Your promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Lord, right now there is a mom and her precious children walking through a dark season of crisis. The weight of the past—fear, instability, heartbreak, and uncertainty—has felt heavy and unrelenting. But today we declare Your truth over their lives: the old has gone, and the new is here.

In the name of Jesus, we ask You to make them a new creation. Bring a Bright Beginning to this family. Replace fear with peace, chaos with stability, and despair with joyful hope. Give this mother strength, wisdom, and courage as she leads her children into a safer, brighter future. Heal their hearts, restore their sense of security, and surround them with Your unfailing love.

Father, let this new creation be visible in practical ways: a safe and stable home, provision for their daily needs, healing for every wound, and a community that wraps around them with support and encouragement.

We also lift up every person reading this prayer and every generous heart considering giving to Lifehouse. Stir hearts to partner in this Bright Beginning. May every gift given become part of the “new” You are creating—seeds of hope, stability, and restoration for moms and children.

Thank You that in Christ, no crisis is final. Thank You that You specialize in turning endings into beautiful new beginnings. We trust You to do what only You can do: make all things new.

Lifehouse invites you to be a part of Bright Beginnings, a special campaign running from Mother’s Day (May 10) through Father’s Day (June 21). During this special season honoring parents and family, your gift will help begin a new life for courageous mothers and their children who desperately need a fresh start.

Here is how you can make a direct difference:

  • $250 provides for a day’s stay at Lifehouse for a mom and her children.
  • $400 covers one day of around the clock love and care from our House Mentors.
  • $1,000 provides one month of dinners for moms and children at Lifehouse.
  • $5,000 provides a year of life and parenting skills education and program resources for moms.
  • $10,000 will cover Lifehouse utilities for the year: water, electricity, and internet.
