Youth Group Spends Day Volunteering at Lifehouse

A Day of Hard Work and Dedication

Yesterday we had a very hardworking crew at Lifehouse! This newly formed youth group is comprised of Catholic boys and girls from several parishes throughout the Archdiocese.

Upon their arrival, they listened to our Founder and Executive Director, Joan Smith, tell the story and history of Lifehouse and why our services our needed. After an introduction to Lifehouse, they got to work!

Due to many generous donors, we have had an influx in supplies that we always need such as diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, soap, dishwashing liquid, batteries, and more. With our newly remolded basement almost complete, we have been working to make sure we keep our supplies organized. We want to maximize our space for the best usage possible. These hardworking teens organized everything!

They also did some general cleaning and took care of some minor maintenance issues. One of our residents recently transitioned out of our apartments into her own apartment, so the volunteer group took care of getting that apartment ready for the next resident as well.

Lifehouse would not be able to make it without volunteer groups. Because of them, we have a very organized and clean working environment and home!

Thank you so much for spending a day of your Christmas break with us. Each of you came in ready to work. Not only did you work hard, but you did it with a smile on your face. For all of this, we are grateful.
